On November 7, the Museum of Food and Drink (MOFAD) is hosting a WOMEN ON FOOD panel. We’ll be looking at the phenomenon known as “Women’s Work,” a topic that pops up throughout the anthology. This one’s MAJOR. Look at the line-up: We’ve got Professor Ruth Schwartz Cowan, author of MORE WORK FOR MOTHER; Prajna Desai, an art historian (she just finished a fellowship at the Museum of Modern Art) and cookbook author (THE INDECISIVE CHICKEN—and it’s worth tracking down); Emily Gould, the writer and publisher (co-founder of a gift to readers and writers, Emily Books) of fiction and non-fiction who contributed an essay (“Who Cares?”) to WOF, and Therese Nelson, chef, writer and founder of Black Culinary History. Amazing, right?
